These grasses are identical to the eye; however, they each have differing growth characteristics.



For shady yards Palmetto is your best bet. It requires only 2-3 hours of sunlight per day. Additionally, Palmetto Sod is DISEASE, INSECT and DROUGHT tolerant. It is a vigorous grower and remains green while other sods go dormant after a frost.



This is the most widely produced and used St. Augustine grass in Florida. Floratam requires 5-6 hours of direct sunlight each day. It grows vigorously in the warmth.



A semi-dwarf, fine-leaved variety with a dark green color and a low growth habit. Seville performs well in shade and full sun. Being a semi-dwarf variety, Seville's maintenance is different than taller growing varieties. This sod will grow with only 2-3 hours of sunlight per day.
